Texture map not displaying the same on all 4 sides

Hello,

In Blender I have a model of a simple small building. I have manually UV unwrapped it and put a texture on it (The texture map is a 6k rectangle image of bricks). The only problem I’m having right now is that the texture map is not displaying on the same axis on all 4 sides of the building in the same direction (see picture). On two walls the texture displays from left to right and on the other two walls top to bottom. How can I make all 4 walls display the texture from side to side instead of the texture starting from top to bottom?

cube projection unwrap is pretty good about fixing itself.
otherwise, you need to select a face, uv editor, R to rotate.

Unfortunately the cube projection doesn’t work for me and when I try to rotate a face in the UV editor it only makes the texture look worse no matter which direction I turn it. The UV smart projection seems to work, but as soon as I press tab to get out of edit mode the problems returns and the textures on those two walls flip the wrong way. Is there another way to get all four walls to project the texture the same way from left to right or make the results from UV smart project stay?

Can’t see your UV map, but have you tried Select Split (Hotkey Y) on the relevant faces in the UV editor? That will allow you to mess with them individually.

Other ways are not to unwrap the whole thing at once (Project from View one face at a time) or, even better, to define your seam edges before unwrapping so the bloody thing unwraps the way you want it to. If you have it seamed right, the basic Unwrap function should handle it.

I am sure you have done it but just in case, have you applied the scale and also checked the normals?
