Texture nodes in cycles ?

Can someone tell me what I need to do to get texture group nodes working in cycles. Thanks Jay

The bottom texture window is the group. one checker

Texture nodes are broken somewhat - you need to use the texture nodes that are available in the Cycles material node menu instead.

Is there another way to create a dynamic texture and use it the modifier stack?

We have a Checker texture in Cycles too, no need to use the “Texture Nodes” tree. In Cycles, Materials and Textures are combined inside the “Shader Tree”.

Definitive answer. <brecht> jaypjohnson: cycles textures can only be used for shading, not in modifier stacks or baked yet
