This question may have been posted before, but I could not find any threads for it. Basically I go through the motions of adding a texture to a plane. When the texture is on it is not as sharp as the source image. Is there a function that fixes this or something I may be doing wrong while texturing? Thanks in advance for any help or comments on this matter.
When you use Blender Internal, two things could be respocible. Texture filtering and the antialiasing filter. Setting the Texture filter size to a lower value renders it sharper, but could cause flickering in animations and setting the antialiasing filter from Gauss to for example Mitchel also gives sharper results.
Sharpening your image in the compositor is another way to get better results.
