Texture not mapped correctly in generated mapping mode


This question may seem stupid (and amy actually is :o), but I was wondering why the texture is mapped the way below even with Cube projection selected

(I hope you can see the image as I see it really small)

Only UV mapped textures will show correctly in the 3d viewport. Change to rendered view or render your scene to see the final result for generated mapping
