Texture view issue

Alright, I didn’t have this problem before, but now I have installed the new beta. Its probably not a bug, but a settings issue. Either way- I need a little assistance.

To have a background image I have been using the two UV mapped planes in the background with a picture on it, for my head references. Of course, I had to be in the Texture view mode to see the UV mapped texture. My model, used to appear fine (with no UV maps, because its under construction) but I could still see it with detail and whatnot. Now, however, it appears like I have the “Shadless” button clicked, so I can’t see any detail on my model. The thing is, I don’t have that button clicked, all of my non-textured models look shadless in texture view, so its just one solid color, with no shadows at all.

Is what I wrote above understandable? if not heres a pic-

How it used to look in texture mode:

The files are basically unedited… minus the different versions of blender…

In F9 buttons, Mesh tab, do you have either TexFace or VertCol active?

%<

do you have a light in the same layer as the head mesh? that might help. I am not sure what changed in the 2.43 release that causes this…

Lol is your name really Shukrallah? That’s my uncle’s name and he loves it.:stuck_out_tongue:
