I enjoy modelling in Blender, but I really don’t enjoy time spent in the node editor, I am spending more time looking at a spaghetti of graphs than painting my actual model. I prefer to take a Bob Ross approach to texturing my model than a science experiment.
I have used software such as Quixel Suite and Substance painter and what I enjoy about them is that there are preset substances/materials allowing me to paint on any given material and it is creating the normal map/specular for me as I paint based on the material.
This is great, but both of these softwares are paid and kind of suck because they don’t play well with Blender formats, the camera movement is for maya users and neither could be bothered to implement 3d mouse support making the whole experience clunky and yuck.
I was wondering if there was a plugin that can just let me paint preset materials onto a model in Blender, without having to design the materials myself or touch a node editor?
