Hi all, I am fairly new to Blender (I used it to mod a game I own) but I want to try something different. I wanted to import an FBX of Lunala in its normal colors, purple and white. See here:
But I’m sure something has gone wrong. I downloaded it from
https://www.models-resource.com/3ds/pokemonsunmoon/model/18600/ and the textures are quite different. The color palettes are interchangeable, all I want is the normal color right now. When I open it up and check that it is shadeless, I get this:
I looked my issue up but possible solutions have not proven to be useful. I also browsed the models resource page which I got the download and some people are having bugs too. Does anyone know why this has happened?
Assign those textures to the appropriate UVs and materials
I’ve tried but it remains that black color. I think it’s already assigned, I’ve seen it but in the preview for the texture it’s still black. The texture for the wings happens to be a mask (it’s actually two different objects as different masks with their materials, but it’s monochrome). I see a purple texture but it’s not in use for the wings.
Double checked right now and the masks are for material B(the wings), and the purple material is not B but D.
You have in file material and image texture but they are not well assign to. There are many tutorials in youtube about assigning material in Blender Render or cycles.
I looked around but nothing seems to pertain to the problem. I have all the images from the models resource that were contained in the .zip I downloaded, what was downloaded was supposed to be everything I needed. I’ve imported FBX files from the same website with success, so why am I having such a big problem?
