I am creating an animation with a medical pill. I bought a material / texture for it that seems to work fine with it. Only problem is that as soon as I apply the texture, the round shape of the pill seems to become pointy.
It looks good do me in ortographic mode, also the wireframe (as far as I can tell) looks alright, but it looks a bit like a pyramid as soon as it gets the texture. Can anyone tell me what I got to change to get a nice rounded shape, even with applied material / texture?
I put the caps to “shape smooth”. If I change to “shape flat” it looks to rough.
When I remove the NormalMap the problem is gone. Unfortunately the normal map gives the pill the right texture and was the main reason for me to buy it.
Is there a chance to use the normal map and solve this kind of problem?
