I am desperate to find a solution:
I would like to extract UV coordinate for each hair ribbon with blender cycle.
I don’t have any problem to find a V coordinate thanks to the HairInfo.Intercept node property, but I can’t find any way to find the u coordinate.
My goal is to achieve something like this.

I would like to texture each of them to have something like:
The idea is to make polygon hair with hair particule system to take benefit from particule system and texture posibilities.
Here is my current node setup:
so, V coordinate is fine. But U is completely faked. It doesn’t work that much (mostly because I made a projection instead of a rotation), and I want to be able to comb the hair with a consistant U coordinate…
Has anyboady already tried something similar?
