texturing Mac Pro holes

I’m having issues trying to get holes on my model. I first tried modeling them but I failed to get them around the curve in the case. I was told to use a texture and use set it to transparency. So far I managed to get the texture where I want it with only some distortion around the curves. Another thing is that when I check transparency nothing happens. I’m stuck as what to do. IIRC, the base alpha over in the mat editor has to be set to 0 for alpha mapping to work properly. Nice model, btw.

So, in the material tab I have to enable transparency and set to 0?
I get this mess when after doing that.
and for some reason the holes are bigger in the render than in the 3d view.:eek:…and everywhere
