Texturing problem.

Hello all,

I just started texturing in Blender, and I tried to texture the eyes of one of my models… but now I’ve run into a problem. Blender doesn’t seem to recognize the faces I want to texture, and gives me some sort of a wireframe instead. I’ll upload images of my problem, I hope someone can help me with this,
I’m sorry if this seems a dumb question, but I just started texturing and am really at a loss about what to do now …

Try to select all polys and reassign the image in the UV Editor window.

Try CTRL+N to recalculate normals.

Is the eye separate object? If not, you need to separate it by marking seams in Edit mode; select outlining edges, than menu select Mesh > Edges > Mark Seam. Select all of the polygons within the Edges. Hit [U] key than select Unwrap to get the UV mesh.
