Texturing regions...

:expressionless: I’ve begin learning how to texture on Blender…

What I would like to know is:
how can I use different texture for different region of my mesh?

Here is the current project.

What I wish to do is put a texture for the face, and another texture for the back of the head…

from this tutorial, I learn that I will have to separate the faces first…

:expressionless: I hope this tutorial is outdated…

Thanks

No need for that.
You can use multiple textures on 1 object.
Just select the faces at the back and do a new calculation.
I’m not realy sure how to set these uv-maps in your material, but pushing the button TexFace should do the trick…

Hope it helps.

Okay. I will give it a try…

But is there a tutorial that explain how this works?

:expressionless: It’s not my first try in modelling, but I am a real texturing noobs…

You can use Multiple Materials:

Or use Vertex Groups if you’re using UVMapping:
