hi so i made my revolver for the spy in tf2 and it has materials and every thing budt when he reload it the sides doesnt pop out and put bullets in it he does it with his hands the animation budt the gun side does go out eny help
If I understand you correctly, you’re saying that the chamber (“side”) that holds the bullets for your gun isn’t opening when you reload in game, right?
If so, it sounds as though your revolver’s chamber isn’t bound to the bone that controls it. It’s been a while since I last did anything with TF2, but you could try this:
First, find out the name of the bone that controls the revolver’s chamber in TF2. Then, in Blender, create a Vertex Group in your revolver object with the exact same name as the bone, select the vertices for the chamber, and weight it 100% to the new group. Then save/export, etc.
Bare in mind that I’m just making a guess with some very rusty experience. If you don’t find an answer here, you might have better luck asking for help on the TF2 forums, where you’re more likely to find people who mod and contribute to the game and have more current knowledge of the process.
if i do that rename the chamber with the bone should i then press ctrl plus j and then i dont know what to sellect normally i just press my model and then ctrl plus j and and make it in one object with automatic weight and i dont know what to do it shoot and he reload it budt the chamber doesnt come out
