Actually is a seen work; originally was made for the 2006 festival, but the render time takes more time than spected, and was finished one week after the deadline :no:. So i submit it for this year edition.;).
i have two questions:
Can i submit more than 1 work?
Do i need to specify the category for participation? (the above submit is for the character animation category) or you classify the submitions for us?

Of course you can submit as many works as you like!
No you do not need to specify a category. The committee can take care of that… We’ll look at the work and nominate for a category that we want to Don’t limit yourself
working… working… is almost ready…one question. what’s the recommended screen size to send it? I’m using 960 x 540 px. It’s that fine or bigger>?
1280 x 720 is what we’re going for… as stated in the first post… more info about the format is in there as well. Can’t wait to see it.

Although it is not exactly an animation but a visualisation, I want to submit my animation of “the cathedral”. well, it was shown already in the siggraph demoreel, but perhaps that does not matter?
maybe it is not the correct genre, but i wanted to give it a try anyway. oh, and it lacks some sound. (maybe i could add some, jan garbarek would fit perfectly, but i don’t now about the rights…)

Just in case: I can submit animation until 23:59 (GMT time zone) September 12th? Ive still got some work to do and probably wont finish my movie before Wednesday.
Thanks for your submission StulliDPB… There is nothing in the rules that says you “have to” submit something with a storyline or character animation in it. Of course there’s a category or two you probably won’t be nominated in. But that doesn’t mean you can’t submit!
mallow, yes and there won’t be an official extension!!!
But ehm… I’m not too strickt… so if someone is a day late… that won’t be a problem, but the only way I can guarantee your animation to be taken into consideration is if you submit before the deadline. So before… great… But after… I can’t promise anything (though one day or two should be ok).

It’s heating up guys… lots of submissions in the last couple of days… but lots of strange video formats as well. You don’t have to use a ‘common’ format per se… but it really helps when you do

Djarielm: sorry no large extensions… certainly not a week… if you want to submit for the awards that is… if you’re late we may still show it though, but not for an award. (I’m working this whole week, so as long as you submit before the weekend… you still have a chance), I’ll be getting the stuff out to the committee this weekend, but if I find time earlier… then you might be out of luck… That’s the nature of deadlines
