ohkay, just what are they?
- bashing blenders gui
- crying for customisable hotkeys
- not reading the wiki daily
- not purchasing something from the e-shop ever
- suggesting useless features (like metric/imperial scales, etc…)
- not using blender on a daily basis
- creating crap with blender
oh, you`ve meant the real ones?..no clue.
Gonna have to second that lmao
Make this a sticky.
I assume he meant the Pope’s 7 deadly sins which for some he just added to the Catholic doctrine like an SVN commit to Blender.
7 Blender sins that could be interesting.
there ya’ go.
They didn’t choose them very well…
One of those sins is genetic manipulation.
Genetic manipulation has been going on for thousands of years already. Sure, it wasn’t done chemically (which is a more direct and efficient approach), but through years of careful breeding, one is really changing the genetic makeup of a given organism (be it oranges, dogs, carrots or what not).
I know the chemical route has more implications (mice with human ears growing out of their backs, medicine excreting bacteria, yeast that makes your bread more oh so yummy, tomatoes that doesn’t rot in matter of hours after you put it on the shelf, etc), but whatever the method is, it is the same sin. Stupid list anyway.
true that!
Isn’t there category for situations like say uh… popes that cover up sexual abuses commited by his clergy???
I’m sure there is. There have been many allegations of substance like that which discredits the church.
wait wait, hold the phone… you mean there are seven NEW deadly sins now?
Or do you want the ‘old’ ones?
Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Lust, Vanity, Envy and Wrath.
And that’s the order they happen in the movie, too
EDIT: hah… love the new ones. The church has basically said “Anything that could possibly advance human civilization = SIN!!!1one”
You can’t consider something a sin unless it falls in exactly what the Bible says is a sin.
The thing about the Catholic church, they took the Bible and added a whole bunch of doctrine, rules, and teachings to it and added the Pope, Bishops, Priests, and the Pope is revered as the king of Christians who is the only one who can directly pray to God and everyone else can only pray to the saints.
The teachings the Catholic church has added continually over the years isn’t Christianity. The only teachings a Christian needs and what a chuch must only teach (with no added stuff) is the stuff in the Bible.
True That. Although the bible can interpreted many ways by people. I tend to approach this controversial subject a pragmatic way.
pretty much everyone that reads any bible is reading an interpretation. Considering the likelihood there was no direct translation for every single thing that was written in the original texts… or even embellishments put in by whomever transcribed them.
Actually there are people out there who are digging up all the ancient Hebrew and Greek texts to find what comes the closest to the origional interpretation, they are continually being found.
Of all things unknown right now, is Revelations written in 70 or 90 AD? Was Nero the antichrist? Are we just waiting for Jesus to come down now with no rapture before hand? Will there be a Millenial kingdom, or will it go straight to the new Earth where Christians who haven’t died trek to their New Jerusalem homes?

i agree, the catholic church has no right to add to the bible.
the seven deadly sins was handed to us by God himself, if he didnt include it, then, its not a sin.
he didnt gve catholics the divine authority to add to his laws.
therefore, if the catholics added 7 new sins to the origional, then, there not sins.
if they were meant to be sins, God would have covered them the first time around. i mean, come on, he’s God, he had already foresaw this and didnt have that much of a problem with it. Thank you catholics, but the supreme ruler and creator of the universe doesnt need your help to define laws.:spin:
Guys, this has to stop. Please read our forum rules, and don’t start religious discussions! When you see one, please do everyone a favor, and instead of taking the bait, report it.
There are things I’d like to say here, but I’m not going to say them. Try to follow that example.
