Excuse me, I feel like a complete moron, but I have a big problem…
In blender we have a snap to grid option. Great isn’t it? I can adjust my grid and have my modular pieces snap rignt in their place… But Blender now has an adaptative grid… Wich means if I zoom, well, my grid is subdivided… And my model don’t snap together anymore…
I did see we have an option for the scale and the subdivision in the overlay menu, but even with one subdivision, my grid still subdivides… And the subdivision is grayed…
Anybody know I can disable this “option”? It is really annoying to me! XD
No. Only the floor in User, Camera view can be changed by user.
Grid in front/back/top/bottom/right/left views is always subdivided by 10.
So, subdivision increment in those views is a tenth of wanted increment.
So, it should not be problematic for snapping.
You just have to do a bigger movement.
You can also switch to perspective view to hide grid. Snapping continues to work.
But you have to constraint movement to a plane (Shift Y, Shift X or Shit Z) to avoid snapping according to depth of view.
