It is. Though I doubt the upgrade will be free for people who bought V1.
No worries. We had to research a lot on the topic since our pipeline was not built around this style, so our results from this first project are more of a melting pot of different techniques and tests haha
Also if youāre interested to share, Iād love to hear any tips, advice or resources from your experience
The time constraint came mostly from āProject Heistā being a short term thing until we have the script for the next bigger short film ready. So we didnāt want this to take too long.
But also, to have a healthy production we always set ourselves a deadline, even if we eventually blow past it haha.
Looking forward to see Project Heist. Itās also really interesting to see the documentation and the thinking behind it - thanks heaps for sharing that.
Absolutely, Iād love to give my 2 cents. I work mostly inside a character pipeline in VFX, but itās a complex subject. Ranging from actor matching/digi doubles over efficiently transferring facial rigs right to shotsculpting - the conversation could go on for ages for any of these subjects.
I also found that shapekeys makes MR to being prone to topology extorsions.
Multires needs an overhaul i guess. edit: Also multires attribute paint support please.
this is attribute paint, no?
Well yes but he want to sculpt on a mesh with a multires modifier and use the new vertex color system.
Multires is not supporting the new vertex color system, you can only use it on a static mesh.
Still praying for vertex color support for Multres. Is it possible now with the attribute system?
Not possible.
Oh. Had high hopes there for a moment.
sry for that, didnāt know multires unsupported.
No worries, man. Will keep hoping
What a champ.
Now if we could get a new build lol
These fixes are part of the daily Blender 2.4 alpha builds.
I donāt know the recent status of the Sculpt Dev builds, but personally Iāve been using the daily builds, because those are more widely used, resulting in bugs being spotted, reported and fixed swiftly.
And the espresso driven fixes are in alpha too?
ā¦ Linux 3.4 is not buildingā¦ for two dais nowā¦ Iām in withdrawalā¦
That suspenseful waiting when this happens over the weekend.
Looks like Brecht just fixed the issue with Linux build. I think you will get the build tomorrow.

Does anyone know if Fairing Brush has been fixed in recent builds?
