LOL. That was great. Pretty easy gig too, just playing the same line over and over again. I think it was the ladies who were singing, whistling, and whooping that really made it though.

Man! I would have loved to be in the audience during that performance of this piece! The entire band was “razor tight,” and the video production was outstanding, too.

And, as for having “borrowed” it, I am quite sure that the proper royalty arrangements were made well in advance. This is certainly one of Mancini’s most outstanding, and iconic, movie themes.
