Yes and yes. ![]()
I made these two works using only (the current, old version of) ConjureSDF:
To me, the main attractions of ConjureSDF are:
-
Everything works inside the familiar Blender UI / UX. You can use all familiar hotkeys, matcaps, etc… For meshing you don’t need to export from an external SDF editor, then import into Blender. Everything happens inside Blender.
-
You can combine SDF modeling with meshes in the ray-marching viewport. You can’t use EEVEE or Cycles during SDF modeling, but that’s no problem. Once SDF modeling is finished, you can mesh the result, then add UV mapping, textures, sculpt on it, and render it using EEVEE or Cycles (or an add-on renderer).
-
CSDF has some interesting blend operations, including an inverted bevel.
-
There’s grouping / nesting of shapes, for advanced Booleans.
-
There’s mirror blending.
-
The new version will have now-missing features such as coloring and an SDF spline.
I’m really looking forward to the big update, and hope @JohnKaz will manage to finish and release it before the end of September. ![]()
