Cool! BTW full video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esZZGRAJOa0
Not CEO but COO
Ton said he was stepping down, no longer CEO…
But he isnt yet… stop assuming things and at least watch the keynote…
Dude …I did watch it, and he said that years ago and comment it again in this keynote, yeah maybe not immediately but eventually he will step down, and Francesco clearly said he is the CEO of blender in one of their recent conference uploads.
But its COO, and he also says it in the video…That the youtube auto subs are shit is a known feature… There was a special video Vlog about it…
You said he was stepping down and in fact is not yet. He is creating a board of members to guide blenders foundation… He didnt said clearly CEO… Everywhere he has the right title, on x and more but you insist that it is CEO…
Ok then if you say so
Well, its clearly on every page and also in the vlog explaining it. So its not because i say so…
(chrctr filler)
It’s a bit off-topic in this thread, but I can hide behind Adobe Modeler being SDF-based. Here’s my short impression of the Meta Quest 3 so far (Cc: @Musashidan )…
Yes, it certainly seems that way at first and it does take getting used to. It’s very interesting though because, at least in my case, my brain has ‘filled in the gaps’ to the point that it has created the illusion of tactility. The slight haptic feedback and the sound effects are also clever ways to support the illusion.
You’re right about the sensitivity in Modeler though. Shapelab has solved this with a setting to tweak the hand shake/dampening, which works well. I’ve been asking for this too in Modeler.
Is there already a project initiating the planned SDF modeling tools over at https://projects.blender.org, or maybe somewhere else, like a dedicated topic at Devtalk? I’d love to keep track of that and submit feedback and suggestions.
There’s absolutely nothing at this moment… hehehe…
I’ll ping you once I see something…
The SDF Prototyper V2 Blender add-on has been released. I think it’s pretty nice.
As it uses the native volume to mesh functionality of Geometry Nodes, it should work in Blender for Windows, macOS and Linux.

MagicaCSG 0.6.0 is released
it has a text tool now, only one font
but at least, you could have fun with it
I was wondering what can be done with Blender metaballs, without addons. I was surprised that all the basic functionality is already present in Blender. There are errors with metaballs transformation and disappearance, also the inconvenience of choosing metaballs in edit mode and the need to change the name of metaballs manually so that they do not mix
I miss primitives and colors in metaballs.
Cool! Metaballs are limited but can achieve a lot. The works of Emiliano Colantoni with metaballs are great:
Thanks for the link to this video.
I found a trick to get symmetry, I wanted to share it here.
Although, maybe everyone knows about it
