This is a render of a scene that I made for a game that Im developing, Im very sactisfied with part of the results, the scene have no noise and the render was very quick, its not perfect from far, specially because its a very low poly scene, but Im learning more and more about cycles.
Its far from perfect, and any ideas that you may have to help me make better I try.
First off, it looks like you did some good work on the modeling as well as the textures and lighting on the majority of the scene.
But I can’t help but think there could be more variation within the drawings and that the material on the figure’s robe seems to have too much reflection and too little translucency. (looking at it from the bottom up might give one an initial impression of a column rather than a figure).
Thanks Ace Dragon, and I totally agree with you, I changed the robe but I didnt used translucency because there is nothing beneath it (I`m a lazy person), I just left the pages on the wall, but I agree it need to be changed.
I m allready rendering a video just to check out how it will look, and I ll post it here soon, after that I ll try to change the things that you said. Thanks for you reply I really appreciate that!
I really like your textures, especially stone relief at the top, and the atmosphere of the room. What’s that object at the window (the left one), some kind of a device?
Here you can see the video in HD, I made it as a test render on cycles in order to understand how it works, I can say that it took some time to render it all, but I m really happy with the quality, there are some details to fix as mentioned above, but even with some errors its looking good to me, and I hope that you guys like it, I know its simple and the UVs are messed up on some parts, but remember that this was made for a game and some portions of the tower would not be seen.
I made the animation of the camera as usual, then I added to the curves a noise modifier and played with the settings, this modifier works as a wiggler on after effects if you know about it.
