Everyone knows that robots only have one thing on their mind…
In 2008, Chris Tempel and Chris Trechter produced a short film called “The Cube” as an entry to the MTV Movie Awards spoof contest. A cross between Disturbia and Transformers, that short was produced in 24 hours.
Six years later, Chris Tempel decided to remake that short film, by himself, to show what is possible if you just want to make movies, even if you have nobody else to help. “The Cube” remake was shot in two hours with the URSA Mini 4k and an Audio Technica mic. Post production took two weeks and consisted of an edit in Avid, VFX in Blender and Nuke, audio mix in Pro Tools, and final grade in Resolve.
