I am thrilled to share my latest project, “The Encounter,” created in Blender. This project is basically inspired by a sculpture from the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Bangkok. It depicts the encounter between Buddha and Mara (demon).I used polycam to 3d scan the sculpture.
This piece represents the statue of Buddha encountering with Mara before his enlightment, residing within a grand, decaying temple. The scene aims to evoke a sense of mystery, awe, and the sublime nature of ancient civilizations.
One of the significant challenges was achieving the right balance of light and shadow to emphasize the scale and grandeur of the statue while maintaining the overall mood of the scene. Additionally, ensuring that the textures conveyed a sense of age and decay without overshadowing the finer details of the model was crucial.
Here’s the before and after of post-processing. Alright. Thanks for your time. You can also support me by following me on Instagram, I will be very grateful. [itskhant](https://www.instagram.com/itskh4nt/)
