The Fan Thread!

Cool

Well, I’m gonna have dinner, so ttyl!

See Ya…

Well, this is an interesting conversation you two are having. But since my brother has already done his best to persuade you to like The Beatles, I wont try

@schwaberry, That’s awesome that you like The Beatles! What songs do you like? Also, do you like John Lennon?

–PinkSkink

…Not really  But I respect your opinions.

Heard the song you mentioned. It’s actually not too bad; the lyrics have some good meaning. And it sounds a bunch like Green Day. (And thats a good thing  )

Glad you like Zooey; yes she’s very cute.

Listen to Working Class Hero by Green Day (If you don’t mind the f word…); you might like it.

Ross

Yeah, I’ve heard Working Class Hero, and it’s pretty good.

I will try to respect your opinions as well. I guess we like and listen to whatever music we grew up hearing… As I almost never listen to the Beatles, I don’t really care for them, but maybe if I did more often, I would.

Have you heard Just A Dream by Nelly?

Yes, I think that Working Class Hero one of John Lennon’s best songs. But Green Day’s cover is better than the original. imho, that is.

I agree with what you said, most songs we’ve heard before, we really enjoy. Like I remember when I was very young my dad would listen to a lot of Death Cab For Cutie. So I like them a lot.

I’m afraid I haven’t heard that, but I will and report back soon

Edit: Hm, to be honest, I don’t really like that sort of music. The singing really had a chance to make the song, but unfortunately, it broke it. For me that is…

Have you heard any Snow Patrol songs you like?

Only the song Chasing Cars. Haven’t really listened to anything else by them yet.

So, as you don’t like Nelly, is there any rap music that you like? Or is it really just not even music?

@Bigmanjoe, love the Stooges, this old show was great as well.

The Honeymooners…

Yeah, chasing cars is very good.

As for rap, I haven’t heard any I like, but I won’t dismiss it as a genre. There’s probably a good song that’s classified as rap.

Any more fandom you have?

Concept Cars. I like the cars, but don’t like the owners that don’t follow through with building them! I would buy one of these in a heartbeat. This car was supposed to use hydrogen fuel, but GM decided not going to make it. The only prototype is currently in Disney World… Bummer. :frowning:

General Motors 2003 Hy-Wire Concept Car project named “Autonomy”

Also, that pic of Zooey creeps me out for some reason. I don’t know why, but I don’t like it at all.

Why does it creep you out?? :stuck_out_tongue: Oh well, each to his own, i guess.

Hmm, that car is interesting, not a bad shape.

OH! More fandom I need to post!

You like Gran turismo? Anyone?

Some more things I like:

Donovan:

For those who might be interested, he accompanied the Beatles to Rishikesh, India when they went on that retreat with the guru (I forget his name) and taught them a new method of playing the guitar. My favorite songs by him are Sunshine Superman and Mellow Yellow (On which Paul McCartney plays bass)

Michael Caine:

A really fantastic actor, and the epitome of British cool when he was younger. He’s still acting in some great movies, such as Harry Brown and Inception. And one unknown gem is 1966’s Gambit, also starring Shirley Maclaine.

And finally, The Clash:

I love some of their songs, like London Calling, and Clampdown, and Spanish Bombs…the list goes on
