The green mile - grass simulator (post fixed)

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a system to do grass over large areas. The trick is I use particle grass close up and a texture for further away.

Apologies to those of you who have already seen this post, I’ve had a bit of three stooges episode trying to post it properly

Anyway, check out the blend file and let me know what you think…

I like the idea here. However, it seems like there should be some kind of “in-between phase” between the actual grass and the texture. Also, the texture shouldn’t be used by itself at such a close distance. At this point, it’s fairly obvious that it is only a texture.

Clever idea though! Keep workin’ on this one. I could see this becoming useful.
