The Harrier

This is another piece in this series of characters I’m caught up in.

This gal is the head of a faction known as “The Harriers”. They are a group of ex-military grunts who are trying to carve a place for themselves politically in a society that is no longer at war. Fortunately for them physical intimidation can be just as convincing as words…

The setting is an alternate 1800s steampunk environment, hence the cogs and such in her battle-suit.

I used Blender for the initial sculpt and lighting, just like the others in this series, and then Artrage and Krita for a paintover, background, and post processing. You can find the other characters in this series in my portfolio!

As always, critiques welcome and appreciated!

Amazing work, love the post illustration finish. And great way of solving the hair as a mesh.

Thank you! I’m finding that less is more with these pieces

Thanks! I can’t take much credit for the hair, I believe I originally saw it done in this tutorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnU5CmfGXT0
It works great for my purposes, especially if it’s being painted over anyway!

Nicely done.
