Found an interesting article that might be of interest to those here constantly pushing the Blender developers to improve the color pipeline. There has been some analysis on shows claiming to be HDR ready (which includes multi-million dollar shows from major studios) and what they found as an absolutely broken approach to color.
Essentially, trying to ‘upscale’ SDR content to HDR, which means they look dark and flat on the new HDR TV’s. If any of you have an HDR display, what have you noticed in terms of content doing color, either the right way or through a cheaply done filter?
