![Aethelgard](https://blenderartists.org/uploads/default/original/4X/1/3/1/1312ce3017a298516c3011ff5c5d364987cb7b25.png) Hey everyone I just finished this mountain valley environment after a few days of intensive work in Blender. My goal was to move from a simple blockout to a finished cinematic scene while learning how to mix custom modeling with scanned assets. Breakdown: _Custom_ _Work_: I modeled and textured the wooden bridge and the stone perimeter walls to fit the terrain. _Assets_: Used a photogrammetry scan from Sketchfab for the mountain top castle and some community house assets for the village. _Environment_: Used a mix of manual placement and scattering for the trees and rocks. _Lighting_: Focused heavily on volumetrics and ‘Golden Hour’ sun positioning to get those God Rays and aerial perspective. _Credits_: Castle scan is from [ https://sketchfab.com/models/11f3fb2585ad45d4927a26617535c427/embed?
