its so cute, I wonder what kind of game will build in this art style I hope its something of similar to stardew valley and harvest moon or maybe zelda.

btw are all of the mesh are “shade smooth” or you use “normal autosmooth 30~60°?” thank youl.

Wow bro you really nailed it!! What a lovely scene and how you you did a sketchfab if this. The original artist has really great artwork btw. When i checked his gallery i loved the last couple pieces of that city with the airplane crashed in the middle. That one would be cool to.

I think you did a stunning job considering there is just one image. Makes it quite hard to do this i guess

If you check the different methods of shading in the sketchfab thing, you’ll see he used normal maps for that. I think he used much higher poly mesh with much more details.

You can check the normals direction as ell, not sure if that helps. Looks like all is set to smooth (full)

Wow i just noticed he also did the second floor, thats cool as well.

Hello! Thank you
No it is not for game, just for fun (and practice  ). I just liked original 2d and want to recreate it in 3d)
Smooth does not matter here, because i dont use light source in scene, it is shadeles. All shadaws painted right in diffuse texture.

Hello!
Yeah, this hut has 2nd floor
I really hoped that someone would not immediately find the second floor and many other details, which would prolong the interest in examining the scene) It is so cool))

No i dont use any highpoly versions here. All done as it is. No normal maps either or light sources. Whole scene is shadeles, shading just dont work here. All painted right in diffuse texture.

So you baked the normals than?

no) only handpainted textures

Ah i see, that probably why we dont see other maps i guess. I think its really well done, the resemblance to the real artwork is really done well!!

Really nice - a lot of attention to detail and good distribution of poly density - not too much or too little (my gaming background coming through). I’m actually really impressed with the lack of inter-penetration of the leaves in front - that takes a bit of care to avoid that.

IF you are looking for suggestions, I would say to pump up the AO and push the contrast a little more. I didn’t even notice the light rays until I looked at the wireframe - so that splash of sunlight kind of gets lost in the overall homogeneous value of the scene.

This is, of course, a nitpick - it’s a really nicely done model

Nicely done on all levels! Levels, you know, because there are two stories here. =P

I have to say, the second floor took me completely by surprise, haha. I pressed the “2” thinking it’ll just reframe the camera, then bam, I’m suddenly looking at something different.

I rotate every part of the scene from 1st and 2nd floor there is no trace of normal map this is pure texture painted which is very admirable and takes a lot of patience so kudos to Black_Helix.

for the full smooth I try to paint some boxes with thick bevel (shade smooth) and I get the same art style.

thanks for this black_helix it enlighten me on some point of making this type of game art style this really memory saver for games with this style.
