That’s a really fine piece of art. Thought-provoking. It rather reminds me of M.C. Eischer but also Robert Tenney (who did many early covers for BYTE).
Thanks guys. I am really pleased with it. I’m glad you like it.
its very good Modron. I think you’ve managed to create a Dali feel to the render.
The pose on the woman of the left - was that intentional?
Thanks man. As a painter I am mainly a surrealist, so this came very naturally to me.
Nice job, Modron. When I look at this picture I feel like I’m about to get lost.

the key just there where it is makes little sense to me… I think it’d be better without but with the title
cool! surrealism is very hard in 3d, i think it needs a better sky though. something with some wierd shape in the stars that u have to really look for to find.
I like this a lot, there is a very nice mood in it - mysterious and dreamy and perhaps a little sad?. I think you should not change it (at least keep this version before you do), you may loose something then, a certain sensitivity (or how to put it).
(and I’m a surrealist painter, too)

Thanks very much guys, and yes, I prefer the spacial empty feeling to it,…I was originally going to put more stuff but I would have lost the ‘hollow’ feeling. I had considered mutant plants, a spring, a television, but in the end empty was better I felt.
nice, but the ground tex needs more work. its a little blurry and needs better bump on it. the sort of ground humps look pretty bad too.
I think the discontinuity of the texture adds to the dream-like quality. Also I didn’t have time to fix it.
wow… that’s a true love it and hate it at the same time picture… well done
hmm,… all the stuff seems to be packed on top half of the picture. and then you cut some people off there too… this might be just how I feel, but to me it looks like everything is too up and left. off balance.
