Progress:
Hi guys!
This is my latest project I’ve been working on.
It’s inspired by the movie “The Sword in The Stone”
please criticize so that I can make it better.
Cheers!
Progress:
Great for the most part. Detail is missing in the sky
Right now, the image looks grainy. There are tutorials to help you fix that. The technical term is “fireflies.” This only really needs to be fixed for your final render.
I like how you lowered the camera so there’s a distinction between the base of the sword handle and the hole in the wall.
Right now, my eye is going to the wagon instead of the sword. Experimenting with lighting and focus can help you put more attention on the sword.
I really like it, modelling and texturing is really great!
I agree with verysunshine, you could try to make the sword more pop out, if that’s your intention.
Looking good.
I spent a few minutes trying to separate the sword from the background, so you can see it more clearly. I didn’t quite manage:
My advice:
I think the problem with the sword blending in is where you put it. Right where you put it is in the hole in the castle.
Some thing to try (maybe) to get the sword to stand out:
EDIT: just noticed i missed lightening the windows in my photoshop job. Oops.
Hi guys!
I’ve been really working on the render for some time now, and here’s anew update.
Hope you like it, cheers!
I really like it!
How about adding a god ray from top-right to the sword to further seperate it from the background?
This is looking amazing. So much detail. I agree with @thorst though. There needs to be something that puts your focus on the sword. Right now it’s blending too much with the background.
This is really nice! I think what could help is changing the camera angle a little. Atm, the sword is right in the middle of that arch, and the darkness of that draw away from the sword. If you pushed the camera closer to the sword, and rotated it a little so it wasn’t straight on, you might find the contrast between background and sword is better. I like the idea of a god ray too. Good Luck
