Started a new project: The Lonely Mountaint, aka Erebor. When I read The Hobbit there is a passage that describes the mountain when Bilbo first sees it atop his barrel. The description triggered something in my head, and I just have to try and bring it to 3D :D.

Started the blocking, still very much a WiP ofcourse :stuck_out_tongue:

Very nice work!

I love the atmosphere, the volumetrics are just about perfect!

I just had two comments:
I don’t know if you are planning to do so already, but I would add a little rippling in the water around the barrels, and maybe some foam as it looks like the water is fairly choppy. And even though they are modeled in 3D (not just a background texture) the mountains look a bit flat, silhouettes aren’t usually that even at dusk. I think just adding a little AO to the mountains (even maybe in post) would fix this.

Anyhow, it is a very good render. Great work and i am looking forward to seeing it in the future.
