The Path To Isolation | Cinematic ArchViz Exploration (Exterior & Interior )

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my latest personal project, “The Path To Isolation,” where I challenged myself to create both an exterior and interior cinematic space using a moody, minimal architectural language. My main goal was to tell a story through composition, lighting contrast, and post-processing.

Here is the second frame from the project, showcasing the interior lounge of the structure:

  • Modeling & Assets: The structure was modeled from scratch using modular concrete blocks. For the interior, I utilized high quality assets for the contemporary sofa, minimal lounge chair, and the fluted wooden wall panels to create a contrast between raw concrete and warm wood.

  • Textures: Micro details were added using seamless high resolution PBR concrete and tile textures, focusing heavily on roughness maps to get realistic wet reflections on the exterior pathway.

I use these material for my structure and steps

  • Lighting Setup:
    • Exterior: An HDRI with heavy overcast clouds to set a cool, moody ambient base, paired with warm emissive floor fixtures.
    • Interior: Ambient dusk lighting mixed with targeted warm interior accent lights to complement the sunset outside.

Here is how the raw unedited render looked straight out of Blender’s Cycles engine:

I would love to hear your thoughts on the composition, the material breakdown, or the color grade. Which frame do you prefer the moody exterior path or the cozy interior lounge?

Drop your feedback or any questions in the comments below. Thanks for checking out my work!
