The sound a seahorse makes

Short looping animation made entirely in Blender- I hope you like it :slightly_smiling_face:

[Sir David Attenborough* voice]
‘They’ll continue this bizarre ritual for about an hour, by which time both will be dead: the puffer fish from exhaustion; the seahorse from embarrassment. We don’t know why they do this. Puffer fish are idiots’

*famous naturalist and broadcaster in the UK with a distinctive voice and delivery **

**This was hilarious when it popped into my head a couple of months ago when I first started this. Its worn off.

Portrait version made as a YouTube short:

A demo of the seahorse rig:

A demo of the puffer fish rig:

3d view of the character animation without camera movement:

And because I hate myself, both fish are textured procedurally
(I realise you’ll probably not be able to see these properly- just inviting you into my chaotic mind)

All textures in the scene are procedural, and some of the models are too (ish)
To help populate the environment, I made a base version for each of the coral objects and the kelp. Each has a displacement modifier with a bit of global-space noise, so that each duplicate would have a slightly different shape depending on where it was placed (the kelp gets a bit of extra help with some Simple Deform modifiers). I also used the Object Info node plugged into a colour ramp in their shaders so I’d get random colours:

Thanks for watching/reading!

Well it made me laugh, love it!
I guess that after modeling, texturing, rigging and animating for weeks the humor does ware off.

It is funny for those of us that see it the first time.
