The Volumetric Cathedral

Well About a weeks work, a lot of head scratching, a lot of maths to work out the geometry, a lot of Google for ref images, but I’m calling it finished now.Hope you like it. C & C welcome.

hotzst, thanks, glad you like it. Your similar project looks amazing.
Mine, yeah the columns are very detailed, the whole thing was gonna just be a column asset for inclusion into other scenes but it just grew as scenes tend to. AO is set to 0.05, samples are 1000, Volume scatter is 0.025. there is bloom done in the compositor too.

Very good. I agree with Hotzst about the symetric issue. Something in the 3d algo of blender causes exaggerated perspective, that is the vertical lines tend to go too much off parallel, I think. Or, maybe its just my weird perspective.
