Snow is a challenging topic indeed, and so I wanted to prove I could get it right. Not only that, but fire is equally as difficult to do.
This render not only included snow, but also volumetric fire and smoke simulations.
Zbrush was the main tool here, used to create the wall, fire goblets and the stairs in the back. I used World Machine for the mountains in the fog, Blender Cycles for rendering and Photoshop for height map painting and compositing.
Hopefully the snow makes you feel frozen, the fire invites you in, and the world intrigues you.
Hope you like it!
I just got a hankering to play some elder scrolls The detail is insane. The snow on the sculpture is so well placed. It feels like it just randomly fell there. Can’t wait to see more of your work. Also the fire and the embers are perfect
Inspired by the elder scrolls? Man, more like the elder scrolls could inspired by this piece of work, Looks like something Blizzard or one of those other big companies would make!
