Hi. I’ve been using Blender for some time now and all of a sudden things that have always worked stop doing so. For example the 0Key on the numpad (actually all keys on the numpad) wich I use sooo much! The only reaction I get is when I press the 7Key, then everything on the viewport jumps a few inches back (once) and that’s it.
It’s really annoying, but I could live with it if the scroll button on the mouse would work. But that’s the next thing that stopped doing what it was supposed to (and yes, I checked the batteries )
Last time Blender did something weird (it didn’t even get started) someone told me to erase the “.Blog” file where I had installed Blender and it worked fine. So that’s what I’ve done this time… and the scroll works again, but the numpad doesn’t. The whole thing is seriously freaking me out and I can’t work (a.k.a. meet a deadline) if the program starts falling apart while I use it!
Do you have any idea what could be the reason / solution? And, well… this is the first open-source software I use (and I liked it quite a lot) but all this stuff is making me doubt… honestly, is this normal? 'cause it’s really frustrating!
did you turn off numlock?
NumLock is the only thing I would suspect.
hi. sorry I sounded so stressed! I’ve just tried the numLock (didn’t even know it existed :o) and it works again. Thank you so much!
