Thirsha, Huntress of Zhon

Hey everyone!

Just finished this piece. The character is Thirsha, from a very old RTS game, Total Annihilation: Kingdoms.

It’s a rework of the first 3D piece I made - it’s quite good to get back to a piece you did in a time you don’t had a proper machine, the bare minimum software knowledge and zero compositing skills :stuck_out_tongue:

Everything but post processing and texturing done in Blender, of course, comparison and link to the full sized image below.

Wow. That looks awesome. Love the armor.

Might not be obvious from first glance but hair, fur and armor textures is top notch.

My favorite thing, however are the face and eyes. It reminds me a lot of a Legacy of Kain character.

If I have to point a weakness that would be the wings. It seems like you skipped them or chose not to spend a lot of time on them…but thats just me.

Five stars from me.

Wow, he has a scary look! Great work!

Thanks, folks!

Glad you liked

@Kalinaki:

Yes, you’re right, the wing limbs were kind of rushed. But I had to move on, I spent too much time everywhere else…

Also, somehow the comparison pic haven’t been posted along, maybe because I posted this thread three times before realizing it was moderated xP

So here it goes:

That’s a great job.
I hate when a good work like this got lost in back pages with only a few posts.

I really like it, I just think that the scene could explore the character a bit more.
Also I think you should post some renders of the character itself in multiple views, wire frames etc…That will bring more attention to your work which is awesome. Keep the great work.
Tá irado cara.

Thanks a bunch, man!

As I said, I did this one in a bit of a rush, as I needed a more updated picture in my folio.

But I’m thinking in adding some detail shots, yes, and maybe even re-rendering it.

So many things, so little time xD

Valeu!

Wow! Breathtaking! Absolutely amazing render and concept

Wow! Great detail on the armor. How did you do that, is it all modeled?

The hair and fur look great and I love the pose. The characters proportions are spot on, as well.

Improved a lot!! Very good!

Thanks!

The etchings are textured/normalmap, fluting is modeled.

Just noticed there’s no link to the original sized picture, if anyone is interested to see the finer details, here it goes (hope it works this time):
