I’m making a room of glass, check it out.

Anyone has a clue on how to create the lamp I want? Ofc you don’t know what I want but it’s a lightsource in a red glass hull. Go figure. Overbright isn’t something I’m looking for either.

I’ve played a bit with the filter settings and the color settings of the glass (YafRay preset “Color Glass”) but nothing turned out to be quite right. Also when I put it close to the wall the wall will light up way too much while the rest of the room stays pretty dark. (as you can see here)

So, the question comes down to:
How would I create a nice realistic light?

I think your best bet, first off, would be yafray.

It’s rendered in YafRay already.
