questions: what is the mapping set to for your texture? Is it UV mapped? can you put up the .blend, or a screenshot of your materials settings, or even provide an explanation of how you arrived at this point? I’d love to help you out, but it’s kind of hard with no specific information.
you definitly want to uv map the iris…you could try and do it with “orco” projection but its tricky( as it is in all 3d progs…dont hate blender) but try this
uv face select the iris and push the" bounds 1/8" mapping button
2)open your uv window (<----maybe this should be done first) and move the faces so it lines up with the colored part of the teexture so the iris looks good
then invert select the rest of the faces and uv map to shpere those polys
then in the uv edit window scale down the " white" part till it squeezez in the white area of the texture…
this is good as long as there is no bloodshot eyeball stuff but for a plain white pixar eye,its good…
