Three Panel Garden

Hi,

my name is Kévin and I’m a landscaper. I’ve been using Blender on and off for a few years as a pure hobbyist. As I haven’t done anything really productive in Blender, apart from some tests, I decided to start creating some gardens. They actually come from a book on landscaping/gardening. As it only contains vague drawings on how the gardens should look like, along with some measurements and how-to’s, the idea is to recreate these gardens in Blender. So here is the first one:

For now, half of this composition’s species are here. The next step is obviously spending some time on the plants themselves and make them look like actual plants, especially the Salix in the middle, which doesn’t look at all like one.

Feedback, comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Now, this is a very special garden. What immediately comes to notice (besides the fact that it reminds of graves) is that everything is extremely arranged. I believe that this is due to the concept from the book you mentioned. But as you already said there should be some variation in the flowers and natural bending. I guess that the original concept is playing with this contrast of the orthogonal stones and the natural shapes of the plants.

Very interesting, keep it up.
