thanks for the comments
i did a quick hair test with particles
it looks alright, maybe i will wait untill 2.4
comes out it supposed to have fur and hair right?
If you didn’t already try using a curve path for the particles, might help with some of those stray hairs.
:o wonderful model!!!
It’s basically… perfect in every way, looks just like Johnny Depp’s character. I swear you shoulda helped them work on that movie.
Amazing.
Hey… nice modeling… why wouldn’t you try to make a mesh-based hair??? You know, not with particles… i think that would be more cartoon style…
Hey, here’s an update, got some more clothes modelling, and a quick start on the hands
C&c
Different angles and lighting:
damn, you’re good!
i kinda like the baldness, its starting to grow on me
Hey, here’s a small update. I took a break from modelling and decieded to used blenders new shape modifer to make a short facial animation clip.
A clip taken from the Corpse Bride:
“No!, I ment no I do not, not wish to be married. That is, I want very much to-” (gets hit on head by cane) - “owwww”
Here’s the mov. (server maybe be kinda slow, the hands are kinda ugly i know)

seems out of synch, try moving the sound around the frames
Edit: he’s also blinking quite a bit…
MIRRORED!
This download was found to be too slow!.
So i kinda…mirrored it

^^^UBER FAST^^^
Hey thanks for mirroring
His facial test and blinking are mimiking the movie, that is why there is a lot of blinks
I love it! i really do i’m a big fan aswell
Yeah, his lip-syncing could use a bit of work.
Excellent model, though.
I’ve seen a lot of work on CG characters on this forum, yet none of this type. I like the fact that you intend to animate this, yet due to me not having quicktime, I can’t watch them
No matter, i’ll keep a watch on your character, and as for now, an exceptional job dude!
Very nice work. From what I understand, the animation was just a test, but I would suggest more anticipation, and snappier more exaggerated movement. The puppets that Tim Burton uses tend to stiffness in motion. No reason to keep things quite that stiff in 3D.
Also, the lip syncing needs a little help.
Just offering a little constructive crit. What you have is great, it just needs a little massaging. And kudos on the modelling, it is spot on.
great work! awsome!
The blinking in the animation should be a lot faster tho, when you blink you don’t close and open you eyes that slow. a few frames should be enough.
Wow… Looks exactly like him! I think you should remove the red undershirt, though…
i love that film, and think burton should start more cg! [blender]!!!
nice model, really perfect, work on the hair with a curve, add a greasy effect:D
Great work…maybe even a tut in the near future??
