Unfortunately I don’t know a lot about GI/rendering, so could use any tip/advice.
Been playing with reflected light(literally) recently and got a caustics type of light:
I would like to simulate something like that in Blender and Sunflow.
Am using Blender 2.4x because there’s an existing Sunflow exporter for it.
I imagine a basic setup would be:
- a box(room)
- a main(dimmed) light
- a projected light (doesn’t need to have a pattern)
- a shiny/reflective material for the ‘reflector’ mesh
- a basic material for the walls.
I’m not entirely sure if this setup will work to get the caustics. Hints ?
