Many years ago, I watched part of an airplane drama movie (unfortunately, I had to get some sleep). Basically, this plane is flying in some storm or something, and then suddenly it loses power or all the lights go out. The main character then goes and tries to get into the cockpit. It was showed on TV where I live around the mid 1990’s. Any ideas of what this film might have been?
Isn’t that the plot of like half of the airplane related disaster movies? Either way, I think your best shot of figuring this out would be to place this question in IMDB’s ‘I need to Know’ board.
It has to be said though that the film Airplane! beats all airplane disaster movies hands down.
For example:
(Dr) Rumack: Captain, how soon can you land? Captain Oveur: I can’t tell. Rumack: You can tell me. I’m a doctor. Captain Oveur: No. I mean I’m just not sure. Rumack: Well, can’t you take a guess? Captain Oveur: Well, not for another two hours. Rumack: You can’t take a guess for another two hours?
In case you hadn’t realised, Airplane! is a spoof!
Or how about that Twilight Zone episode with the creature on the wing.
“There’s a …a thing…on the wing!”.
Or maybe he means the movie with Harrison Ford as the heroic president of the US (did I say “heroic” and “president” in one sentence??) who’s hijacked on his plane.
If you think about it, this list is endless.
