To* Rigg a blimp...

Before I get to detailed in this model I wondered… how do I suspend an object off a soft body that floats, and have it deform the soft body, as its mass moves around underneath
and also how do I rigg a cable?

It’s going to be a blimp

I have been tinkering away at the model, but still need rigging help,I believe that a handle is needed at the center of gravity, that is the root and the deformer controller, but I want it to be as real as possible. help!!

I am Having issues with parent loops and don’t know what to do…

Make the ship parent to the baloon. Then make ropes between the ship and the baloon. You don’t need to rig something that doesn’t move.

I want the ropes to deform the balloon(stretch mount point) and the ship should hang off the balloon, that way it will look right when turning/stopping/getting thrown around by wind

a simpler sim would be a toy soldier hanging off a helium balloon, they effect each other if the soldier swings, the balloon rotates

I figured it out all on my own, here is a example of a non-linear Blimp Rigg, useful for probably a lot more then just blimps, as it makes a soft connection

I’m not sure if everyone just hates me(muah!), or did not know how to do this
