(This is related to 3D graphics but I wasn’t sure where else to put it!)
I’ve always been confused about what’s good for a standard scale in computer units. Opening other people’s files of characters especially sometimes they can be really small or really huge. What’s a good rule of thumb for deciding what basic units are? cm? meters? What scales do you use in your scenes?
i rarely do precision modeling with blender, but i would probably use 1 meter = 1 BU
if you’re asking about characters, there is no rule of thumb, because scale is always relative to what you are comparing it with… if you have a house the size of the character’s arm, you’d just scale the house up or the character down…
