Tommy "The Tiger" McCoy da Shark

A while back I took an intro to sculpting with Blender Class with CG Cookie. In it they had us sculpt a shark based off a reference made by Alyssa Veysey. Since the class I have now sculpted 2 of the sharks provided on the sheet. Each time, adding something unique to them or the scene to help make it a little more me.

1st Shark - Harold “Underbite” Malone

This one, I went even further than last time by not just adding in a hat, but the safe and Tommy Gun. I was surprised at how easy the Tommy Gun was, as only after I started building it did I realize how rudimentary the geometry of it was. The hardest part being the handle which I wound up sculpting instead of straight modeling. The rest of the world I built up from the last time I did one of these “Mafia” Sharks. All in all I was again very happy with the final result.

I’ve recently also made it a habit to post my Time-Lapses to YouTube. I’m pretty new to sculpting, so I’m not that fast with it just yet. This piece took a combined +20h to complete but I turned it into a nice 3min video with a dope beat that’s at least interesting to watch.

Any who, thanks for stopping by and till next time, Happy Blending.
