I’m hoping I can get some feedback about the layout & composition and what I can do to improve this piece.
I’m trying to represent a young family with a bunch of toothbrushes and maybe other bathroom supplies.
It’s really bare right now, but I want to fill it up with objects and detail. Just not really sure what. The MO is that most objects needs to somewhat resemble a person and what they’re thinking in some way using subtle features. For example, that purple toothbrush is their daughter curiously looking over a railing.
I think it would be really cool to look like an ordinary medicine cabinet at first, but then you notice each object doing something human.
Are you going for making a cartoony piece where the toothbrushes are characters?
Or are you going for making a realistic toothbrush storage solution for families?
If 1, then maybe add some human features like eyes, legs, etc. to the toothbrushes.
If 2, then maybe design a toothbrush organizer that has labels for each member of the family.
I’d say #2, I want to see how much expression you can put into objects as you’d find them in real life, so I can’t use faces, arms, etc.
I like the idea of having a separate labelled place for each. Thanks!
Haha true. You’re right I wouldn’t need a cup. I guess no limbs or faces is a self imposed challenge for this project. I kinda want to see if it’s possible to make them look like they’re waving without any waving arms for example.
