Top, Side, Front view to 3D

Hello all,

Im motherboardlove, and Im new to the forums (and Blender! :stuck_out_tongue: )

I have 3 views, the top, side, and front. Id like to make it into a 3D model. Is there a way to do this?? :stuck_out_tongue:

BTW: Im using Blender 2.49b

To make it into a 3D model, you’ve got to model it.
But you can load the images into the viewport.
Open the View" menu, and go to background image.
Load, play with the settings to change the size and location of the images.
Don’t forget you can also split the 3D Viewport, so this way you can model from 2/3 different views.
Hover the mouse over an edge of the window, right click, split area, and place it where you’d like the cut.
You should check out the Noob to Pro Wikibook if your completely new.
Work at your own speed, try not to get frustrated, and have fun.

Might there be a way to automate this?

The views align and are perfect to every last pixel… :stuck_out_tongue:

Automate it? Nah, besides, where’s the fun in that?

While you can’t do it in Blender, there are other programs which allow you to do so - upto a limit.
You could google for “image modeler”
One is Autodesk’s ImageModeler: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=11982870 .
Also there’s Microsoft’s Photosynth - which makes “3d photographs”
Good luck
