I’m reaching out because I’m struggling with creating female 3D characters in Blender. Every time I try, I feel lost and overwhelmed, especially when it comes to meshing objects for the face, breasts, ears, hands, feet, hips, hair, and cheeks. I keep trying to figure out which mesh objects work best, but I’m not sure where to start or what tools to use
Could you guys give me some hints or share your experiences? For example, what are the best practices for 3D modelling these specific body parts? Are there any Blender add-ons or tutorials that you found particularly helpful? I’m looking for any advice that can guide me through this process and help me create more realistic and detailed female characters.
i have been watching any tutorials but i could not find the right once that work for me too many tutorials that are speed Runs and others are way too long and boring nothing have to do with what i am looking for my English is not that perfect sorry hope you understand some of it i am using blender 4.5 and what add ons should i install that works good for my object
I feel the pain, unfortunately its a slow process and trying to take shortcuts usually just ends up in more disappointment.
Dikko’s videos are likely a good start/reference.
However, the exact approach does partly depend on the end goal. Are you looking to create your own 3D characters, plans to animate them or just a still image. Going for as realistic as possible or a bit stylised?
On the other hand, if its high detail, as real as possible, then chances are you should be looking into sculpting and on that subject, I’ve got nothing.
I appreciate your attention. I’m proud of my work what I do, but I still get confues a lot and don’t really know which way to aim. I see enough youtuber who give you 4 hours to think what object you need etc. I get quickly confused and I get quite depressed because I don’t do well enough. I make so many mistakes it drives me crazy.
thank you for all the help bro i will look forward i think i have to force my self to be patience and just accept the reality nobody cant learn in 3 weeks be professional at art i should take it slow and learn step by step and just focus on the journey i be good in year or so i just have not to give up never
I think you pretty much just use a mesh object and use all available mesh modelling tools to achieve the forms you need (see in your reference).
I think one common struggle when beginning is the confusion between modelling and design. Yes, you can do both at the same time with enough experience and skill, but I think that’s not a good idea when starting and you have to keep in mind those two tasks are very separate and have their own very different steps and workflows. I think that one realization can help a lot.
…you never will find it… because tutorials are only good for to have a look how people might do things in their own way. It depends not only on the target for which the character is aimed for but also about the previous training and experience a person had.
But it helps to understand any kind of 3D modeling when even watching tutorials for other DCC’s and of course lot’s of practice, practice, practice… So you might find your own workflow when watching different tutorials and somekind of analysing this or simple just learn some new trick.
Remember: most of the time the tutor has a lot of experience or even some reference images on the second or third monitor (or tablet, phone) to watch at… (especially helpful here: mirrror and/or girl friend )
Also interesting: study basemeshes… by image or as 3D object… but be sure that’s a good one… so do not waste time on bad references, because time it will take
